About Tseleme Cares Foundation
Tseleme Cares Foundation (TCF) is a registered company established in 2023 as an initiative of Tseleme Social Club. The foundation was formed to address ongoing educational challenges faced by learners in rural and township communities across South Africa.
Tseleme Social Club itself was founded in 2013 by a group of lifelong friends, mainly from the North West Province. What began as a social network rooted in friendship and shared values gradually grew into a structured effort to give back to communities that continue to face socioeconomic hardship.
Our Purpose
TCF is guided by a simple belief: education is a powerful driver of opportunity and dignity. Many learners struggle to attend school consistently due to a lack of basic resources such as school uniforms and shoes.
Since 2016, long before formal registration, the foundation has focused on restoring dignity and improving school attendance by providing these essentials to learners from disadvantaged backgrounds.
What We Do
Our primary focus is supporting primary and secondary school learners through:
- Provision of school uniforms and shoes
- Fundraising initiatives dedicated entirely to learner support
- Community-driven partnerships that encourage local involvement
Our flagship initiative is the Dress A Schoolchild Charity Par Tee Golf Day, an annual fundraising event that brings together individuals, professionals, and organisations to raise funds for learner support.
Our Impact
Since hosting our first charity golf day in 2020, the foundation has expanded its reach well beyond individual member contributions.
To date, Tseleme Cares Foundation has successfully supported more than 809 learners, providing uniforms and shoes across multiple provinces and school districts.
Each contribution is directed toward tangible outcomes, with clear records of beneficiaries and supported schools. This approach ensures transparency, accountability, and measurable impact.
